Key Requirements

Candidates should hold: a Bachelors degree (preferably in a technical or commercial discipline) and a professional accreditation such as PMP, PE or other related professional certification; have a minimum of 12 years background in Industrial/Commercial engineer, procurement, and construction (EPC) work with a minimum 5 years in a full-time risk management role; Experience in a wide variety of contracting strategies, including reimbursable, target price, incentive, and lump sum arrangements; Expert expertise in using Pertmaster and Crystal Ball risk analysis software to conduct Schedule Risk Assessments as well as Cost Risk Assessments. In addition: Strong presentation skills are must; Should be very knowledgeable in the professional practice of risk management and be able to prepare training materials as well as conduct risk-training classes; Exceptional communication, interpersonal and team-collaboration skills are required; and MS Office proficiency: Excel, PowerPoint, Access; Word, etc.

Urgently required, a Manager Project Risk Controls for Perth, Australia. Generous uplifts and allowances.

The role involves:

Plans, organizes and carries out risk reviews on proposals and projects while liaising with appropriate business units, project personnel and corporate departments. Manages and leads the development of project risk assessments involved specifically in evaluating the commercial and technical aspects of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction phases, for the Hydrocarbons & Infrastructure Business Units. Develops Project Risk Management Strategies that are tailored to meet the requirements for medium to large EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) projects ranging from £100m to $15b.

Leads analytical work to identify, assess and quantify risk for key project decisions. Creates and reviews stochastic/probabilistic models (what if scenarios) using Pertmaster and Crystal Ball to assess schedule and cost variability to risk events. Train project teams in developing risk registers and provides guidance in the development and implementation of risk response plans and monitoring activities. Actively prepares training materials and conducts risk management training workshops for project learns. Position has regional budgetary type accountabilities * MUST be available for short-term international business travel.
