Operations Manager - ROV Equipment - ANGOLA - NON-EXPAT ROLE SPENCER OGDEN are currently supporting one of our globally-positioned Subsea clients to recruit an Operations Manager for their Angolan Headquarters. Having a strong position in the West African Subsea market, for providing both Engineering and Equipment provision, my client would like to pull upon local talent, with excellent knowledge of the Subsea Industry in Angola. Managing a large operations and engineering team, you will have overall responsibility for both the day-to-day activity and strategic direction of the worksite as the client looks to retain its strong position in the African Subsea market. Having developed and delivered Subsea Equipment, manpower, Vessels and Engineering in the region for the last decade, my client operate on a 24/7 basis, working with the Oil & Gas majors and other Subsea EPC Contractors. They have a presence all around the globe, have an excellent development programme and are at the forefront of developing Subsea equipment. Criteria for selection : - - You must have a valid Angolan passport. - Fluent in Portuguese and English, both written and Oral. - You will have an Engineering Degree in a Mechanical, Hydraulic, or Electrical discipline, supported by several years experience in Offshore Engineering, preferably in Subsea Engineering. - Strong working knowledge of the Angolan Oil & Gas Industry and in a broad sense, the West African Oil & Gas Industry. - You must have a strong background of Cost-Control, Budgeting, Finance, QHSE and managing a diverse team of people. - A strong Commercial and Business Development background would be beneficial in order to contribute to business winning opportunities. - A knowledge of Subsea Equipment including ROVs, Trenchers, Ploughs, X-Trees, Well-heads is preferred.
