Main responsibilities: Technical Integrity of Welding Works. Key Activities: Verifying welding and NDT activities are carried out in compliance with approved project procedures (WPS/WPQR etc.), work instructions, specifications and applicable international codes and standards. Provide technical support, troubleshooting and technical solutions. Witness piping hydro tests. Reports to: QA/QC Coordinator / Construction Site Representative / Hook up Coordinator / Installation Site Representative. Main internal Interfaces: Commissioning Team. Production Field Team. Main external Interfaces: EPC/PC/C Contractors' Welding Inspectors and NDT Operators. Minimum Education: Technical university diploma. Professional Qualifications: Basic certificate of Welding Engineer; Certified Welding Inspector; Certified II level NDT (MT/RT/UT). Training and Courses: Offshore survival course (offshore project). PED and other international codes induction course. Required experience: 4 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry as Welding and NDT Inspector. Required knowledge, technical or professional skills: IT: good knowledge of MS Office Package. Facilities: excellent knowledge of welding and NDT techniques, basic knowledge of metallurgy and welding engineering principles, good knowledge of pressure vessels/piping. inspection and certification requirements (PED etc.). Quality: good knowledge of QA/QC Welding and NDT Management Systems. HSE: basic knowledge of construction and commissioning HSE requirements and standards implementation. Duties As the ideal candidate for this position you will be required to supervise 3 or more workers when performing duties,the crane operator directs the Roustabouts as necessary to support on-going rig operations. The crane operator must ensure all operations are proceeding in a safe manner, and correct or notify responsible person of any unsafe actions and/or conditions. Inform the Rig Manager or Barge Engineer prior to any equipment/weight move.Ensure correct hand signals used for crane operations. Responsible for rigging and moving of equipment and materials.Ensure all deck / equipment maintenance areas are kept clean and all tools are properly stored or racked in designated areas at all times.Inspect the cranes daily and lubricate as required by the maintenance manual. coordinate maintenance on all tanks, e.g. water, cement, ballast and mud.
