Offshore Worker in Medivac from CNR Platform
An offshore worker has been airlifted to hospital from a North Sea platform following a medical emergency.
The crewman was working on CNR's Tiffany platform which is 155 miles north east of Aberdeen.
A Bond SAR helicopter based offshore on the Miller Platform flew to the Tiffany platform after the alarm was raised.
A spokesman from the coastguard said: “We got a call this morning from the Tiffany platform just before 9.25am. A request was made for an immediate helicopter evacuation as a crewmen had taken ill.
A Bond helicopter was sent from the Miller platform and the man was convened to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he arrived at around 11.43am.”
