Maersk Training Partner with AquaTerra to Offer Complete Training Solution
If technology takes us to new heights, so too does servicing it. Maersk Training in Aberdeen, at their facilities in Portlethen and Stonehaven, has been getting people wet at sea level in order to survive for the past four years; now they have the opportunity to feel comfortable and safe, high up in the air. The global provider has just signed a first preference contract with specialists AquaTerra so that they now cover the widest of ranges in terms of offshore training.
The wide portfolio of courses covered by the agreement includes nine Working at Height Units, OPITO approved Rigging and Lifting, as well as awareness and management of the transportation of Dangerous Goods. The training ranges from a couple of hours, as in the case of harness user, to a full exam course for Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) for Transport Managers lasting seven days.
The AquaTerra facilities are about 12 kilometres from the new Maersk Training complex at Kingswells where courses are conducted using some of the most advanced equipment and rig specific simulators available.
