Incident During Restart Delays Huntington
Norwegian Energy Company (Noreco) has informed that production from Huntington field, located in the UK North Sea, has been further delayed due to an incident during restart of the CATS riser platform.
Noreco says that according to information received from the field operator, the riser platform will be closed least until December 18, 2014, probably longer.
The Huntington field has been closed from October 18 this year due to export restrictions in the CATS pipeline system. Restart was originally scheduled for December 5, 2014.
The Huntington oil field is operated by E.ON which own 25% stake. Other partners in the field are Premier Oil with 40% interest, and Noreco and Iona Energy with 20 % and 15% ownership, respectively.
