Oil and gas company Equinor has entered into a contract with US-based Expro to provide comprehensive well testing services across the Norwegian Continental Shelf. This four-year agreement encompasses well testing operations in the Barents, Norwegian, and North Seas. Expro's scope includes production optimization and well flow management, aiming to enhance Equinor's assets in various operational phases such as production, abandonment, completion, and intervention activities.
Expro will leverage its CoilHose light well circulation system (LWCS) for hydraulic intervention well work, demonstrating a commitment to innovative and efficient solutions. The contract, building on a prior seven-year partnership, reflects a strategic collaboration to drive value through production optimization and emphasizes Expro's ability to reduce its carbon footprint at every stage of project delivery.
The contract incorporates three two-year extension options, further solidifying the ongoing partnership between Expro and Equinor. While the financial details of the contract remain undisclosed, it is evident that Equinor's emphasis on a low-carbon plan aligns seamlessly with Expro's commitment to delivering sustainable and environmentally conscious energy services.
This contract follows a series of successful collaborations for Expro, including a well intervention and integrity contract for the Tilenga project in Uganda with TotalEnergies and a decommissioning project on the UK Continental Shelf with Harbour Energy. These endeavors underscore Expro's position as a reliable and innovative partner in the energy services sector.
