Coastguard to airlift injured offshore worker to Aberdeen
AN offshore worker is due to be airlifted this morning after crushing his arm in a door.
An Aberdeen Coastguard helicopter is on route to the unnamed rig 145 miles east of the city.
The helicopter was dispatched just before 7am this morning and the man is most likely going to be flown back to Aberdeen.
A spokesman for the coastguard service said: “We are sending a helicopter after an oil crewman crushed his arm in a door.”
The injuries are not believed to be serious.
