Emergency landing Super Puma returns to base
The Bond Super Puma EC225 which made a 'precautionary' landing on the Forties Charlie installation in the North Sea, has returned back to Bond's Aberdeen facilities after being given the all clear to resume flights.
It was initially believed that an issue had occurred with the Super Puma's tail rotor activating warning lights, the pilots then took precautions to land at the near by Forties Charlie
The fault has now been identified as an issue with an indicator
The helicopter has now returned to Aberdeen having been cleared to travel back to base
Bond issued a statement saying an indicator had been faulty.
It said: "As suspected this was an issue with the indicator, not the helicopter. It is now fully cleared for flight and completely airworthy and en route back to Aberdeen.
"Transport for passengers is being arranged."
