Key Requirements
Responsibilities:
? Conducting physical property evaluations and performance tests as required to support business in the Oilfield & Mining markets, eg viscosity measurements, cloud points, solubility’s, foaming, fluid loss, corrosion, demulsification, etc.
? Generating information and preparing reports and presentations for use internally and at customers.
? Interfacing with customers to obtain insight into their technical needs and to identify opportunities to collaborate with them on new projects aimed at growing our business.
? Working with various business units within to identify new Oilfield sales opportunities for products within existing portfolio that are not sold into the Oilfield industry today.
? Assisting in the development of new products for the Oilfield industry.
? Communicating with technical personnel globally to share information and enhance opportunities for new business development.
Qualifications:
? BS in chemistry or related scientific field required, Graduate degree preferred
? 5 + years laboratory experience working with an oil company or an oilfield service company
? Solid working knowledge of laboratory techniques (i.e., rheology measurements, demulsification, fluid loss, corrosion, friction reduction, surface tension and foam testing)
? Solid knowledge of products (surfactants, polymers, corrosion inhibitors, chelating agents, lubricants and dispersants) used in Oilfield applications and in the methodologies used to test and evaluate these products, a focus on the Stimulation segment is preferred.
? Good writing and verbal communication skills
? Highly motivated, detailed oriented and able to multi-task
