Instrument / Electrical Technician required to work on a chemical manufacturing site in Essex. Candidates will ideally have the following: - Compex trained - ONC/HNC qualified (desirable but not essential) - BS7671 17th edition qualified - Ability to understand electrical drawings and instrument loop diagrams - Problem solving techniques - Chemical plant background or similar - Electrical inspection and testing experience - Good computer skills This will initially be a 3 month contract but further work is expected. As a key part of this team you will be responsible for contributing drilling expertise into the field development plan. Reporting into a Team Leader, you will be responsible for working closely with other disciplines in order to put together well designs which are both economic and based on tried & tested current technology - as well as designing & planning the deployment of new, cutting edge drilling technology/techniques. Your focus will be on developing safe, efficient concepts as well as creating a sound economic case for new technology & designs. You will have regular contact with the drilling team working on current well development as well as the team working on active drilling technology trial programme. You will use information gathered from these sources to develop the future concept well plans as well as provide any feedback/analysis into lessons learned/any issues which arise from the current programme/previous activities.
