They can offer you training and development to allow you to reach Senior Estimator level, whilst compiling estimates for some interesting and perse projects associated with the rail / underground network.
You will be working with the pre-construction team, under the direction of the Senior Estimators and Estimating Manager, compiling estimates in a timely and professional manner. You will be producing estimates by analyzing materials, labour, equipment, subcontractor quotes, supplier services costs. You should be able to work from a bill of quantities or a set of drawings, providing prices for one off projects to larger schemes and maintenance campaigns. Commercial acumen and an analytical approach is a necessity as is time management to ensure bid gets delivered in a timely manner.
Whilst all project works undertaken by the contractor are associated with the rail / underground network, they are not necessarily civils work. This Main Contactor will offer you a perse set of projects from platform extensions, to embankments, M&E works, station refurbs and new buildings.
You will be working within a team, so good communication skills and a collaborative approach are very important. Experience within civils, commercial or rail projects is desirable, but as this is not a Senior Estimator role (yet!) you will get training and support.
Based from the North West London office you will receive a competitive salary and package to include pension, healthcare, death in service and 25 days holiday.

To provide coaching to lower level planners and supervise their performance to ensure proper transfer of skills and work standard.

The successful candidate will work as an integrated member of the client’s Project Management Team and have direct procurement experience in Major Oil and Gas Projects. As a Procurement Specialist you will: Supervise and/or manage a supplier surveillance program with a number of direct hire Project Inspection Coordinators and Shop Inspectors. Provide technical direction, and interface with other department and project managers in accordance with the company standard. Develop inspection plans, budgets, and client interface and provide supervision and guidance to the GS Contractor's procurement team Review with Project Management levels of inspection required for the materials and equipment to be bought on the project.
