    Objective

    A great opportunity has arisen for a bright, proactive inpidual to work as a Commercial Systems & Support Manager within the Nuclear Industry.

    Our client is a waste management company that provides services to customers to treat and dispose of low level radioactive waste; they oversee a national programme to ensure that lower activity waste is managed effectively.



    Deliverables (for contract)

    Your responsibilities will include;

    - Co-ordinating the development, implementation, maintenance, and assurance reviews of the Commercial and Contract Management (C&CM) functional policies, strategies, operating model, and management system processes, procedures and standards.

    - Leading and managing the C&CM programme of improvement and change initiatives, including embedding of any Learning from Experience (LFE).

    - Establishing and managing the process of collating and reporting Commercial Management information, including business reporting, dashboard production and communication across the C&CM function and to stakeholders.

    - Managing the C&CM information systems for the supplier contracts portfolio, Commercial Management Information, and key performance indicator analysis and trending.

    - Monitoring the supply chain, specifically risk analysis, supplier development initiatives, and general status of suppliers and contracts.

    - Supporting C&CM in providing an effective commercial and business support function.

    - Providing leadership, advice, guidance and direction on commercial standards and processes to the C&CM Team, and the wider business as required.



    Essential/Desirable Skills

    The successful candidate will possess;

    - Ability to co-ordinate complex management systems.

    - Functional Support experience with the ability to recognise business and stakeholder requirements and risks.

    - Excellent communication skills.

    - Experience of quickly building relationships with people of all levels.

    - Good IT skills.

    - Experience of recognising, defining and leading solutions for complex functional change initiatives.

    - Commercial, Contract Management or Quality experience is advantageous.

    Role

    Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation and execution of the Cost Control process on a large scale and complex project. Key responsibilities will include:

    - Manage the output of the Cost Management Team

French speak and an engineering background is also advantageous.

    Capita Resourcing our working with a large UK nuclear company who are seeking additional Cost Engineering Resource o provide and maintain a comprehensive Cost Engineering framework and service for either a major project, multi-project porfolio or business area.

    Project Controls are engaged on many different tasks at various times during the workscope lifecycle - e.g. Conceptual Studies, Work Breakdown Structures, Baseline Cost Estimates/Programmes, Risk/Earned Value/Variance Analysis, Change Control, Predictability/Forecast to complete and Knowledge Management.

    Project Controls support integrated project and operations teams and works closely with the Project and Operations Managers in delivering projects and workscope to time, cost and quality.



    Objective

    * Provision and management of a cost framework, systems and resources to deliver an effective cost control and reporting service to Project Managers and Sponsors.
    * Preparation, monitoring and forecasting baselines and expenditure profiles during all project phases, and the provision of accruals where needed.
    * Cost report production, including earned value analysis, identifying critical areas and trends and recommend recovery options.
    * Ensuring all commitments are recorded and maintaining forecasts within approved financial limits.
    * Maintaining an estimate of the outturn value of the project and preparation of an EAC for review and approval.



    Deliverables (for contract)

    - Previous cost engineering experience

    - NVQ Level 3 in Project Controls desirable

    - Experience in use of SAP and/or other common financial software

    - Demonstrable knowledge of Programme Controls process and systems

    - Demonstrable knowledge of SAP 4.7 and the EAC process desirable

    - Provide evidence of having a high capability in the use of IT applications, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
