Due to a major restructuring of several of my clients divisions the position of Senior/Lead Mechanical and Piping Engineer has become available. The role is fulltime based in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The purpose of the role is to Guide, perform and supervise Pipe Stress Analysis and Pipeline Stability Analysis, detailed design & development of piping design details. Guide and perform design analysis for static, dynamic and other mechanical equipment accessories

Job DescriptionReview and analyze Project Specification and documents. Guide and supervise Pipe
Stress Analysis etc. using softwares, etc. and conduct detailed design &
development of drawings details (namely: Piping Plan/Section
Details/Isometrics/Hydrotest Diagram/Tie-in Schedules, etc.). Develop/prepare
Piping Specifications, Bill of Materials including material requisitions etc. Provide
guidance/assistance to Design Engineers for Design Analysis. Conduct scheduling,
monitoring and co-ordination with other design discipline/proponents etc. and ensure
conformance with project requirements. Co-ordinate with GES Contractor, review
engineering deliberables, interact with client & resolve technical issues. Monitor
progress, control man-hour, conduct quality check and approval of Design
deliverables. Provide guidance & support to Estimation, assist in preparing MTO
(when required), & develop pre-bid Design Details as required. Guide & support
Procurement, conduct Technical Evaluation of Proposals, recommend alternatives
for cost savings. Organize/assist in preparation of documents required for final handover
of project. Guide/support & participate in start-up, commissioning, testing, shutdown
activities etc. as per project requirement.

You will be expected to able to perform the following: Review exploration and development wells to identify stimulation candidates. Provide technical consultation for potential stimulation of exploration and development wells. Design, execute and evaluate fracturing projects and supervise treatment on-site if necessary. Assess and recommend advanced completion techniques for horizontal and multi-lateral wells with respect to field specific requirements Develop horizontal well fracturing applications by reservoir modeling, geomechanical analyses and optimizing completion procedures through established trial testing processes. Review and new stimulation technologies including stimulation fluids, proppants, diagnostic techniques, and analytical and numerical approaches. Participate in technical societies and technical groups. Train and mentor young engineers.
As the successful candidate, you should hold a bachelor degree in petroleum/chemical/mechanical engineering or related discipline. Advanced degrees desirable, but not required. You should have minimum of 10 years of experience in petroleum engineering including at least 7 years as a stimulation engineer performing fracturing design, execution and evaluation or at least 7 years as a completion and production technologist performing all aspects of well architecture. Technical publications are valued but in-depth practical experience is paramount. Must have demonstrated ability to interact and communicate clearly with specialists in geology, reservoir management, production and drilling. Understanding of logs and their relationship to geomechanical modeling. Working knowledge of fracturing design software packages and, frac pressure analysis methodologies. Thorough knowledge of recent advances in completion technologies including permanent down hole measurements, passive and active control devices, smart well architecture, swellable and mechanical open hole packers, wet connects and down hole flow meters. Familiar with well centric models including NETool or similar software. Experience in artificial lift (ESP) and subsea completions will be beneficial.
