    Our client is currently involved in a project to develop tools and fixtures to secure components to machine beds. They require Mechanical designers, based at Rosyth, to join the project for a 3+ month duration.

    - Ensure that all design activity is conducted in accordance with Company Procedures.

    - Planning and monitoring of design process to ensure completion to time and budget.

    - Preparation of concept design drawings.

    - Development of manufacturing information.

    - Participate in design reviews

    Skills & Experience

    Due to the project requirements, only UK nationals can be considered. Candidates will be required to undergo clearance to SC level prior to starting.

    - Ability to work through all design phases from Concept, Scheme and Detail design as a team member or as an inpidual.

    - Experience in the design of machine tool fixtures or tool room background would be an advantage.

    - Conversant with BS8888

    - Proven design experience, with a practical bias in a tool making/ tool room industry, to generate cost effective bespoke solutions to meet Client's requirements.

    Experienced electro-mechanical draughtsperson required to assist with control panel and electrical design.

    The successful candidate will have proven industry experience in the design of industrial control panels. Panel design will include:

    - Specifying enclosures and any necessary fixtures

    - Producing cable drawings from cable tables

    - Producing electrical drawings

    - Appreciation of panel construction method with regards to wiring layouts etc.

    - Taking sketches and component lists and turning into panel designs and production ready drawings.

    Appreciation of health and safety legislation regarding electrical enclosures would be advantageous.

    Skills & Experience

    - Experience of control panel design and layout

    - Extensive experience with AutoCAD

    - Extensive experience with AutoCAD Electrical for producing electrical circuit and cable drawings

    - Experience with NX would be desirable

    - Experience of selecting control panels and components to meet system requirements

    - Proven industry experience and good knowledge of control panel suppliers

    The role will require working alone and as part of a large cross disciplinary team so the successful candidate should be self-motivated and also a strong communicator and work well with others.

    The role will be in an environment regulated by Trade Control legislation and involve working with controlled goods, technology and/or services. This may require your candidates to meet enhanced security and regular screening checks.
