Job Description

Technical Requirements:
1. A good working knowledge of liquid and gas metering system design and principles of operation.
2. Capable of preparing recertification, operating and maintenance procedures and supervising their implementation. Able to monitor and control meter system performance.
3. Familiar with all relevant IP, API, AGA, BS and ISO standards and codes of practice.
4. Experienced in the preparation of specifications for metering system equipment and instrumentation.
5. Familiar with relevant practices and procedures for project management of supply of metrological equipment and systems.
6. Good level of communication skills.
Job Description:
1. Preparation of specifications for new metering systems and upgrading of existing systems.
2. Preparation of recertification, operating and maintenance procedures for oil and gas metering equipment.
3. Carrying out of measurement quantity & quality system equipment and data audits / inspections / surveys to check compliance with relevant standards, codes of practice and client requirements.
4. Provide assistance in the preparation of bid documents for client quotations

    Principal Mechanical Design Engineer - London Overall Purpose Provide technical leadership and management of the Mechanical Engineering Team. FEA, CFD, DFMA, 6 Sigma, etc. *Generation of quantifiable specifications based on internal or external customer requirements. *Effective process selection, i.e. high pressure die casting, investment casting, injection moulding, precision machining, etc. *Meeting IP sealing ratings. *Manage effectively project work for self and others, including: *Allocating technical work packages to team members and ensuring successful delivery. *Scheduling resources to achieve timely delivery. *Developing test plans, including equipment allocation, test jig design Personal Profile Qualifications *As a minimum degree qualified in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or equivalent and likely to have achieved a higher degree (MSc or similar) in a related area. Previous Experience *Mechatronics experience ideally *Demonstrable experience in the development of products for manufacture in a commercial market. *It is unlikely that candidates will have gained sufficient experience for this senior role without 5 years of more experience working in a similar environment. Attributes *Ability to interface with suppliers, partners and customers. *Strong communications skills and fluency in English both spoken and written. *Experience of operating in ISO 9001 environments and to industry specific standards. *Able to operate at all times in accordance with company values and behaviours.
