The experience should include both analytical and experimental applications with an ability to apply this knowledge to combustion systems for power generation including boilers, gas turbines, burner designs, cogeneration and combined cycle systems, after treatment systems, fuel handling and, emission control systems. Advanced knowledge and experience in continuous fluidized bed (CFB) boilers, chemical looping combustion, flameless combustion systems, oxy-combustion, and next generation low-carbon footprint power generation technologies is highly preferred. The candidate's main role initially will be to establish a state-of-the-art multipurpose combustion test platform to test different combustion technologies and flue gas treatment systems to help test the latest technologies within Saudi Aramco.     The R&DC is seeking an experienced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Engineer with more than 10 years of industry and/or research experience. The successful candidate will perform CFD analysis, including model building (meshing), problem formulation, presenting results, and writing reports and calculations. The work scope involves a variety of complex combustion and flow problems in complex and large geometrical domains that include a combustion system with chemical reactions, heat transfer flows (convection, conduction, and radiation), atmospheric flows, high speed flows, pollutant tracking, etc. The successful candidate must be able to interpret CFD results and apply fundamental verification and validation (V&V ) principles to assist in the design, and work independently and with a team to execute the CFD tasks necessary to complete the work assignments. The job will also include the preparation and presentation of proposals to technical leaders. The desired candidate should be motivated and proactive to develop close working relationships with members within the team and internal customers. In addition to fluency in developing CFD codes, specialized knowledge in fundamental thermal and fluid sciences, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and combustion systems is required.
