    - Evaluate subcontractor fabrication procedures and inspection and test plans in consultation with the project team;

    - Select coating yard and fabrication site inspection teams;

    - Identify and qualify the welding methods required for project related structures including testing, documentation, client approval and third party verification;

    - Provide technical input and cost estimates for welding methods, equipment and consumables required for project preparations and fabrication;

    - Establish interfaces with QC teams at subcontractor and project offices;

    - Monitor the performance and progress of subcontractor production;

    - Assess performance of QC teams;

    Skills & Experience

    - Minimum of MTS degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering;

    - Must hold Moduspec level 3 or equivalent industry recognised certification.

    - IWCF Well Control certified or equivalent.

    - Detailed knowledge & experience of Drilling and Workover operation.

    - Experience of Drilling and Workover is an advantage.

    - Knowledge of Drilling and Workover rig manufacture and design.

    - Knowledge of Drilling and Workover rig Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) and test techniques and relevant standards.

    - Knowledge of BOP equipment system and Electrical equipment of Drilling and Workover rigs.

    - Knowledge of audit and management systems.

    - A proven ability to coach, train and mentor local & international staff.

    - A strong team player with self-motivation skills and the ability to work independently is a must.

    - A proven ability and recognised reputation in a similar technical specialist role.

    - Experience of working in the Middle East Land in based environments is preferred.
