    Job Description

    For our client in Delft, the Netherlands, we are looking for a Quality Control (QC) Co-ordinator. The QC Co-ordinator works within the QC/Commercial Projects Unit. The QC Co-ordinator supports the implementation and cost efficient execution of project inspection requirements and ensures that applicable quality standards are met by utilising controllable inspection methods and preparing associated documentation. The QC Co-ordinator reports to the Unit Head QC/Commercial Projects.

    - Familiarise with project QC requirements and advise Project Manager;

    - Determine criteria for inspector qualifications and experience, and select accordingly;

    - Develop and maintain QC project specific deliverables;

    - Provide input for development of project product specifications and standards for items to be procured or subcontracted;

    - Review subcontractor and supplier procedures and documents, including inspection and test plans and production schedules; monitor QC performance of same;

    - Attend pre-production meetings and procedure qualification tests as required;

    - Maintain and process project files and documents in view of audit requirements internally or externally;

    - Check project preparations and inspect work in accordance with inspection and test plans;

    - Process audit/review of as-built data from installation projects or subcontract fabricators upon completion;

    - Assess inspector performance on a regular basis and report to the Unit Head QC/Commercial Projects.

    Skills & Experience

    - BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent;

    - Significant QC related experience, preferably in the offshore industry;

    - Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality management environment;

    - Familiarity with industry standard codes such as API, AWS, ASME, BS-EN and DNV;

    - Strong computer skills (experience with Microsoft Word and Excel);

    - Team player with flexible approach to work;

    - Good command of the English language, both written and spoken;

    - Good communicator;

    - Willingness to travel;

    - In possession of a driving licence.

    This is a permanent position.

    - Inspection of equipment ranging from Class 1 nuclear pressure equipment to items manufactured and installed to conventional codes, standards and regulations on nuclear sites.

    - Review and approval of manufacturing documentation within delegated authority levels in terms of quality plans, manufacturing procedures, NDE reports and Life Time Quality Records

    - Interpretation of codes and standards relating to equipment classification.

    - Support the growth of UK nuclear business within inspection and NDE activities on new build and existing nuclear licensed sites.

    - Inspections in accordance with client specifications and inspection and testing plans

    - Produce accurate reports of examination

    - Review and approval of manufacturing processes and procedures

    - Produce minutes of meetings, assessment findings and general technical report writing

    - Experience and understanding of nuclear and conventional codes and standards relating to pressure equipment and pressure systems including PSSR, PER, RCC-M, ASME III, EN13445, EN13480, ASME VIII

    - Good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection within the nuclear industry or transferable experience from another high hazard industry

    - A proactive and self-motivated attitude

    - Experience of managing a range of stakeholders

    - Excellent technical writing and communication skills

    - Good working knowledge of the Customers quality requirements, application of ISO9001 and manufacturing techniques and processes.
