Job DescriptionA global oil and gas company is seeking to appoint a Lead Investigator to sit within its corporate EHS function. This highly visible role will involve significant travel (up to 50%) globally, visiting operational sites where major incidents have occurred. This will involve thoroughly and knowledgeably investigating serious incidents, gathering all relevant information and delivering expert incident investigation reports. It is expected that candidates will be degree educated in an engineering or technical discipline and be a certified safety practitioner. Although oil and gas experience is desirable, it is possible that candidates from similar high risk industries will be considered. Only candidates with substantial experience within incident investigation with a demonstrable track record of delivery will be considered.

Deliverables (for contract)
Your responsibilities will include;
- Providing a high level of safety advice/support to the Construction teams and to the wider site.

The successful candidate will possess;

Provide competent HSSE advice and support as required, to Water Column teams and other Offshore Programme teams as required.

Attend risk management activities whenever possible, promoting high standards and contributing effectively to assessments.

Identify and agree requirements for audits and verification activities. Conduct or take part in HSSE audits as required. Maintain and ensure delivery of the Audit and Verification Assurance Plan activities for the Water Column workscopes.
Support the effective running of the HSSE Risk Register for the Water Column teams.
Monitor HSSE training requirements for teams. Advise on, provide or arrange training as required.
Monitor team participation in Behavioural Safety Observation System (BOSS) and provide coaching/support as required.
Demonstrate the highest standards of personal HSSE behavior.
Provide support to, and work effectively with site/vessel safety coaches when required.
