Job Description

My client is one of the world’s leading subsea engineering and construction companies in the oil and gas industry and they are currently recruiting for a Market Analyst to be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They are looking for someone to support the company’s growth strategy in Malaysia and a dynamic, proactive individual who can work on their initiative with minimum direction.

Main Responsibilities :


• Maintain and update Subsea 7’s global subsea market database

• Sourcing & communication of information on clients, prospects and competitors

• Analysis & reporting to support a range of business processes

• Prepare a regular suite of weekly and monthly reports to support regional and global management requirements

• Assist in the production of the Annual Budget and the 5-year Business Plan and maintain regular reporting showing progress- against the above

• Assist in the development and implementation of Client Account Plans and Pursuit Plans for identified key prospects

• Co-operate with BA Manager as applicable in pursuit of future business

• Gather intelligence in order to maintain a suite of profiles for all the main competition to Subsea 7 within the region.

• Assist in any global exercises. Ad-hoc studies and strategic projects as required

• Assist in the improvement of working practices and procedures of the role

• Development of marketing communications as required

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and technically able inpidual to work as part of a small team directly coordinating the delivery of the sites Logistics (transport and packaging supply) Services. The Transport Service Coordinator is part of the Service Delivery Team providing logistics services to both the site itself and directly to waste service customers. Operating as the first point of contact for customers using the sites logistics services, providing a service processing function and a technical interface between and subcontracted hauliers. The role holder will operate and maintain the sites web based electronic logistics management system and have the ability to provide internal / external users with ongoing support. In addition to this you will be required to support the Senior Contract Officer in relation to contract management activities associated with the Nuclear Transport Service.

    Essential Skills / Qualifications: * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written * Will have / be able to develop a good knowledge of transport topics including equipment and regulations relevant to the services to be provided and be able to communicate this to stakeholders * Can demonstrate the ability to deal with people across a wide range of management levels and technical expertise * Excellent time management with the ability to remain calm under pressure and work to deadlines * Must be proficient with the use of MS Office suite * Can demonstrate being an excellent team player Desirable Skills /Qualifications * Relevant degree, professional qualification and / or a proven track record showing extensive relevant experience. * Familiar with typical nuclear licensed site management systems and procedures * Full Driving Licence * Radioactive Material Transport - Level 1

    Job Description

    This is an exciting new role created to support the Chief engineer in the development of the new Caspian hardware. The specific responsibilities for this role will be:

    - Conducting and maintaining failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA),

    - Completing hardware testing procedures for injection moulded components

    - Maintaining project documentation

    - General engineering support (as required)

    Working for the Chief Engineer (product) the role will require the inpidual to build on a strong understanding of automotive systems engineering, along with knowledge of FMEA processes. A knowledge of design verification tests for injection moulded parts, will be an advantage.

    The successful candidate will have a passion for engineering science and will be driven to work under tight time scales whilst applying disciplined rigor.

    - Develop and maintain Project, Design and Process FMEA for the Caspian Technology

    - Work directly with manufacturing partners and the Caspian design lead to implement the manufacture of the Caspian technology using injection moulding and processes

    - Define and complete design verification tests as informed by the FMEA (with the support from and, at times, alongside the test engineer)

    - Define and maintain product performance specifications

    - Maintain risk registers for the technology

    Skills & Experience

    The job holder will have an engineering based degree with considerable experience in an automotive industry.

    - Strong analytical and a deep automotive knowledge (required)

    - Proven experience in the development and use of FMEA (preferably using VDA methodology) (required)

    - Previous experience in design verification testing (required)

    - Previous experience of manufacturing using injection moulding techniques (desirable)

    - Ability to manage complex projects to completion through fit-for-purpose project management techniques

    - Great team player and ability to work closely with colleagues.

    - Strong bias for delivery with energy and enthusiasm

    - The ability to take complex issues and problems and articulate them simply and in an engaging, succinct, jargon-free way

    - Excellent influencing skills (from the Board room to the factory floor)

    - The ability to rapidly evaluate risk in projects and to make decisions based on balance of success

    - Ability to draw on creative skills to generate new and ground-breaking propositions

    - The ability to understand and interpret theoretical knowledge and translating this into outcomes and results
