Job Description

My client is one of the world’s leading subsea engineering and construction companies in the oil and gas industry and they are currently recruiting for a Market Analyst to be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They are looking for someone to support the company’s growth strategy in Malaysia and a dynamic, proactive individual who can work on their initiative with minimum direction.

Main Responsibilities :


• Maintain and update Subsea 7’s global subsea market database

• Sourcing & communication of information on clients, prospects and competitors

• Analysis & reporting to support a range of business processes

• Prepare a regular suite of weekly and monthly reports to support regional and global management requirements

• Assist in the production of the Annual Budget and the 5-year Business Plan and maintain regular reporting showing progress- against the above

• Assist in the development and implementation of Client Account Plans and Pursuit Plans for identified key prospects

• Co-operate with BA Manager as applicable in pursuit of future business

• Gather intelligence in order to maintain a suite of profiles for all the main competition to Subsea 7 within the region.

• Assist in any global exercises. Ad-hoc studies and strategic projects as required

• Assist in the improvement of working practices and procedures of the role

• Development of marketing communications as required

    Job Description

    - Assist in the draft, review, update, maintenance, and implementation of requirements for midstream compliance manuals, including but not limited to: Operations & Maintenance Plan, Process Safety Management Plan, Risk Management Plan, Emergency/Spill Response Plans, and Standard Operating Procedures.

    - Assist in the development and execution of the company Process Safety Management (PSM) Plan according to OSHA Title 29 CFR 1910.119.

    - Assist in the development and execution of the company Risk Management Plan (RMP) according to EPA 40 CFR Part 68.

    - Develop and maintain management systems to ensure all related maintenance, Railroad Commission, PSM, and RMP records and documentation are kept up to date, audited.

    - Provide input to analyze issues regarding operations and compliance with a variety of products and their storage (tanks), transfer, and transportation by pipeline, truck, rail, ship and barge.

    - Collaborate closely and facilitate activities with midstream, interstate pipeline, and LNG terminals' management and technical services team.

    - Manage projects and other pipeline system assets, and provide emergency response support as directed by Manager, Technical Services & Compliance.

    Skills & Experience

    - Bachelor's degree in engineering, Engineering Technology or relevant technical discipline.

    - NACE certification is a plus.

    - Moderate experience of midstream industry experience in various technical support roles including maintaining compliance with CFR Title 49 Part 195, the PSM Standard, and RMP Rule is required.

    - Working knowledge of CFR Title 49 Part 192, Coast Guard, and Texas Railroad Commission regulations is a plus for this position.

    - Experience in operations in processing facilities and transportation and marine hubs are a plus.

    - Good organizational and scheduling skills and ability to manage and complete activities on multiple projects concurrently

    - Ability to adjust priorities in response to a highly dynamic environment and focus on results.

    - Able to analyze complex compliance issues from multiple viewpoints and recommend solutions.

    - An acute sensitivity to safety issues in a hazardous environment.

    - Effective communicator at all levels of an organization and with inpiduals and groups from different disciplines, industries, the public and governmental agencies.

    - Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

    - Able to manage schedules and produce results with minimal supervision.

    - Highly proficient with computers and productivity software including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Project and PowerPoint).

    Progressive in partnership with one of our key clients across Australia are currently searching for an Inspector for an initial 6 month contract. The role requires someone with minimal exposure to a similar role, and as such is neither an entry level or highly experienced position.

    Working in one of Perth's southern suburbs, the inspector will be involved in actively working around the workshop, conducting inspections and also assisting with other work as required. There is also a high importance on QC documentation and from time to time, there will be a need to travel around Perth to visit suppliers for onsite inspections.

    This type of position is ideally suited to someone with 2-3 years of experience, who is looking to gain greater exposure in the market and still be exposed to on the job learning. The role will also be varied, so someone with flexibility and adaptability in their work structure is ideal.
