Job Description

Working as a Structural Design Engineer you will be proven in post-tensioning project design delivery utilising strong technical and design skills. Qualified to tertiary level you must possess a career to date designing post-tensioning buildings and warehouses in Australia.

    Job Description

    HSE SUPERINTENDENT - OFFSHORE required by our Client, an International Oil & Gas Operator, to be based in Perth, Australia on a contract hire basis. DURATION:2 years POSITION SCOPE Our client is currently looking for an HSE Superintendent based in the Central Perth office with a roster to commence at required phase of the Project, initially via Korea and then offshore for the Tow and IHUC phase. This role will be the focal point for allocated activities during the Tow and IHUC phase and will involve at a detailed and strategic level with the Hook Up and Commissioning team's planning and execution to RFSU. This role will also be responsible for allocated planning and transitioning activities to the Operations phase post RFSU. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the implementation of all HSE deliverables associated with the IHUC HSE delivery schedule in advance of the sail away of the facilities from South Korea (IHUC development phase); Develop and rollout the required HSE communications, tools and processes to the Offshore IHUC personnel (influencing EPC and Sub-Contractors); Ensure PI 1 alignment is reached in HSEMS readiness for Tow and IHUC execution activities by our Client, EPC and Sub-Contractor personnel; Coordination of updates or development to allocated HSE plans, Emergency response Plans for Tow, Hook-Up and Commissioning teams; Oversight and delivery to allocated Learning/Training/Induction and Development plans, systems and processes are in place that Tow and IHUC phase needs are met; Offshore Field and Onshore Division HSE interface and planning role during phases of the scope; Support the Commissioning Manager in delivering the preparation and execution of commissioning HSE activities in order to deliver facilities to Operations in accordance with the HSEMS and schedule; To provide HSE commissioning leadership support during Tow, pre-commissioning and start-up activities up to RFSU; Provide coaching and support to the company and contractor IHUC team to carry out their assigned HSE related activities as defined within the IHUC HSEMP during the offshore execution phase; Ensure the IHUC phase HSE onboarding process is robust and effective to meet the needs of the IHUC scope; Participate in JHA/risk assessments for key planned Tow and IHUC activities and other key planning activities that require HSE input for the IHUC scope; Lead/participate in major event investigations; Support ER/EM activities for the setup and planning the facilities and flotel interface. Ensure all cyclone preparations and planning are in place for the IHUC scope; Lead detailed risk assessments (HAZIDS) and implementation of identified controls and follow up. Coordinate security plans during the Tow and IHUC phase. Assist in the review and coordination of the medical requirements onboard during the Tow. Assist the delivery of all Custom/DAFWA clearance requirements for the facilities are organised. Input into specific IHUC scope HSE aspects such as Mooring, Riser pull, precomm and commissioning activities to ensure all HSE requirements into plans and procedures are met. Support the offshore pision review of the future state management system documents and the Operations MDR deliverables to ensure Offshore Division needs are captured in developed systems for the IHUC scope; Support the Offshore HSE Lead as and when required on urgent HSE execution scopes and deliverables; Work with HSE colleagues to support HSE programs as a professional member of the HSE Department. Assist with the development of the Offshore Division HSE key performance indicators and prepare input for the IHUC scope into the annual HSE business plan; Support evaluation, mobilisation and monitoring of EPCM Contractors and Vendors. Provide general advice, guidance and support on HSE matters to internal stakeholders. Effectively engage in business cost reduction initiatives. EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Occupational Health and Safety Certificate IV and/or tertiary qualification. Relevant degree or Diploma qualification highly regarded. Lead audit experience/qualifications. A minimum of 10 years' experience working with health, safety and environment management systems in a resource company environment. Offshore Projects/Hydrocarbon experience highly regarded. Offshore IHUC HSE leadership experience required. Previous HSE tow experience would be an advantage. Exceptional strategic planning skills required. Robust communication and negotiation skills required to interface with a variety of stakeholders in a time poor environment. 'Delivery focus' and ability to deliver in a challenging working environment. Ability to lead detailed risk assessments (HAZIDS) and have a robust risk management approach.
