Our client is an International Operator working extensively within the Norwegian market. They are requiring Commissioning Area Operators to take up work on their project offshore of Norway. This is a long term position starting in October and will run till 2014 .
The role will require the candidate to work alongside the Commissioning superintendent and ensure that commissioning activities are completed safely in accordance with the project scope.
To be suitable for this position you will need to have the following background.
* 5-10 years relevant experience
* Experience with multi disciplines of the commissioning
* Norwegian (NORSOK) experience
* Regular meetings with commissioning
* Offshore experience

Activities System Engineering Lead • Responsible for System Engineering aspects of the project, from detailed engineering through to handover, and accepts responsibility for actions. • Manage Subsea System qualification program • Co-ordinate System level reviews (Design reviews, HAZOP, HAZID, FMECA, RAM, etc) • Ensure that Company Reliability goals are achieved • Pro-actively liaise with Technology, Drilling, Operations, Sub-Contractors, Vendors and certifying agency teams on all aspects of the project • Control and approve, when appropriate, the specifications, requisitions, design procedures, layouts, arrangements, P&ID’s, and cause & effect charts • Actively contribute to the preparation of the pre-commissioning and commissioning/start-up activities • Obtain validation of the design. SPS Interfaces Lead • Pro-actively manage all interface activities relating to the SPS and actively contribute to their resolution across all areas of the wider Project. Ensure that agreed Project Battery Limits are adhered to. • Monitor and maintain E-room database activities. • Responsible for technical interface aspects of the SPS, from detailed engineering through to handover, and accepts responsibility for actions. • Manage SUPPLIER activities related to interfaces, including participating in regular meetings with wider Project contractors. Particular emphasis on interfaces relating to SCU/ICSS upgrade at SGP and with COMPANY SURF team and their main contractors. • A key interface to SUPPLIER is the provision of CPI’s from COMPANY stock. Identify, manage , and deliver CPI’s in accordance with contract requirements by call-off via the General Services Contract General • Demonstrate commitment to SHE through Personal Safety Performance Contract. • Assist with System Integration Testing activities. • Proactively manage the budget and progress schedule of the work package. • Pro-actively liaise with Technology, Drilling, Operations, Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Vendors and certifying agency teams on all aspects of the project. • Prepare and present technical dossiers. • Assist with application process for required authorities’ approvals. • Positively represent the Company at supplier premises, sites and on vessels if appropriate during offshore construction as and when required. • Continually seek learning opportunities to further their technical capability and openly share knowledge with other team members. • Report any potential problems to the SPS Manager in a pro-active manner. • Accept delegation of authority from the SPS Manager

• Chartered Engineer, Engineer (BSc) / Technical school or equivalent education/experience related to Preservation and Maintenance. • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (offshore and onshore, oil and gas industry). Commissioning Experience is highly recommended.
• Development of Preservation and Maintenance Program for Eldfisk II from Mechanical Completion until Handover to Operations. • Prepare Preservation Procedures, Preservation Maintenance and De-preservation Procedures for offshore Phase of project • Organize field technicians • Validate vendors FAT and EFAT procedures for testing of vendor equipment. • Give input to project training program. If needed, arrange necessary training sessions/courses for project personnel working on their equipment and system(s). • Ensure all work is performed to current relevant Statutory regulations, International & Norwegian Industry Standards, including the Company Specifications and Standards/NCPMS. • Ensure relevant and correct input of preservation status for commissioning activities into computer based completion system (PCS system). • Provide and maintain engineering and supplier documentation as required by the commissioning group.
