    The Wellsite Geologist supports drilling of rotary grass roots, sidetrack, and coiled-tubing drilling operations on Alaska's North Slope. Responsibilities include onsite well geosteering, subsurface lithology and fluid descriptions, MWD/LWD logging interpretation and drilling operational support. Well types include horizontal (single and multi-lateral), vertical, extended-reach and high-angle slant wells.

    - Awareness of and adherence to HSE and operational policies.

    - Perform assignments consistent with Code of Conduct and any facility or site rules

    - Perform assigned tasks on coil tubing and rotary rig drilling operations, day- and night-shift assignment and on rotational schedules to be determined by and subject to change.

    - Perform well planning and project work in the Anchorage office as directed

    - Attend scheduled meetings with the New Wells Delivery Team leadership and technical staff in the Anchorage office as directed

    - Proactively train and coach less-experienced personnel

    - Strong computer skills, particularly with MS Excel

    An independent E&P whose main aim is to grow oil and gas production in the Kingdom of Bahrain is actively seeking a Geomodeller Advisor to join them on an expatriate basis.

    This operator drilled 193 new oil wells last year, raising the total number of wells drilled in Bahrain to 645 and their current production stands at 47, 900 bpd. My client is seeking a Geomodeller to develop 3D geocellular reservoir models for evaluating, optimizing and recommending reservoir development plans, and for input to reservoir simulation projects

    Other responsibilities will include:

    * Creating integrated geological interpretations utilizing appropriate types of geophysical, geological, and petrophysical data as well as data from other disciplines (reservoir engineering, drilling, etc.) to enhance understanding of development projects
    * Providing geological expertise to validate and incorporate structural, stratigraphic, rock properties, and petrophysics into integrated 3D geocellular modeling projects
    * Constructing reservoir- and simulation-scale 3D geological models utilizing Schlumberger Petrel and IP software, whilst incorporating interpretations and data from LGC products, including SeisWorks, StratWorks, ZMAP, GeoGraphix, and OpenWorks
    * Working effectively with subsurface geophysicists, engineers, petrophysicists, RMT personnel and operations personnel to ensure robust and consistent reservoir models
    * Incorporating geophysical and petrophysical interpretations into comprehensive 3D geomodels
    * Providing geological and modeling support for field development plans including primary development and EOR/IOR projects
    * Recommending, planning, designing, coordinating and directing the acquisition and analysis of core, wireline, and other geoscience data necessary to generate, evaluate and upgrade reservoir models
    * Acting as a technical expert and mentor for less experienced subsurface studies geophysical and geological staff. Provide mentoring, training, and support as needed to enhance current knowledge of RMT staff

    The ideal applicant will:

    * Have at least a BSc Degree in Geology, MSc degree desirable
    * Possess a minimum of 15 years' experience in the upstream oil and gas industry including significant and relevant experience in geological interpretation using current workstation + PC-based software (SeisWorks, Petrel, GeoGraphix)
    * Have proven Field Development experience
