Job Description

A permanent opportunity is available with a key employer in the west of Scotland offering the chance to work within an expanding engineering team and with a company who pride themselves on staff development and a positive working environment/culture.

Leading Mechanical Systems Engineering you will have responsbility for management of the systems integration requirements across a range of product developments.

Working alongside the engineering & manufacturing functions you will be involved in identifying product requirements through design, simulation and validation process to maximise product efficiency.

    Responsibilities

    - Carry out electrical design and draughting work to supplement the overall electrical engineering design within the Electrical Project Team

    - Carry out assigned work in accordance with the applicable Project Procedures, IEC and Client Standards

    - Liaise with the Electrical Engineer regarding the interpretation of Specifications and Standards

    - Production of design drawings / documents including but not limited to;- Block cable diagrams, Single Line Diagrams Wiring schematics, Cable and tray routing diagrams, Lighting Layouts, Cable schedules, Junction box schedules, Panel layout drawings and Bills of materials

    - Reviewing drawings foraccuracy, compatibility, consistency, and for compliance with design criteria and overall project requirements

    - Assisting discipline Engineers and Lead Designers by attending meetings and design reviews

    - Interpreting vendor's documentation and data in order to incorporate into design packages

    - Attending site visits and carrying out surveys of existing Electrical installations

    - Participating in proposal activities, producing preliminary designs and assisting with man hour and bulk material estimates

    - Raising requisitions forbulk materials

    - HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering

    - Ability to plan and control projects in accordance with a multidiscipline schedule
