Qualifications : Engineering HND (or equivalent), minimum 10 years experience in oil and gas and at least 5 years in planning.
Experience in onshore and offshore petrochemical projects for at least 10 years.
Experience in working directly or indirectly for a major oil company
Experience in preparing and executing control procedures for both cost and planning
Experience in Project start-up sequence and logic planning
· To provide a full planning, work management and analysis of the contract assigned.
· To ensure plans are tracked and reported. Highlighting and offering solutions to problems.
· Be pro-active in all matters relating to Cost, Planning and Risk Analysis.
· Maintain all plans in readiness for monthly reporting.
· Ensure that all interfaces are identified, agreed and reviewed on a weekly basis.
· Ensure that all short term critical tasks are reviewed on a weekly basis.
· Assist in the development and maintaining of the department budget cost estimates.
· Maintain close liaison with other Agip KCO departments associated with Kashagan Development.Responsible for training Kazakh personnel when requested
Competences Familiar with both project and corporate contract and finance procedures
Knowledge of computer based planning tools e.g. Primavers P3e, P5
Familar with planning probabilistic and associated software
Familar with the operational aspects of offshore platforms and Drill Rigs
Ability to work without supervision
Ability to initiate and promote the discipline of cost/planning with other engineering/operations departments
Ability to prepare strategy plans to ensure that the planning tools are capable of meeting the company's business needs
Ability to assist in management reviews of existing Appraisal work activities
Ability to create/update planning estimates/control methods and procedures to reflect the latest engineering and project execution philosophies
Familiar with the requirements and structure of Integrated Planning

Highlighting of possible discrepancies between the basic design and the detail design realised by the customer. Give suggestions to the Customer’s technicians for a rapid solving of eventual problems. Check the content of the erection manual (design/instruction manual) before the erection of the equipment and/or the mechanical systems for eventual updates and/or request for additional information to technical departments so as to avoid any loss of time during the work execution. Check with the Customer’s technician before the erection of the equipment that the civil works had been carried out according to the mechanical requirements. Check, e.g. the main axis of the basement involved in the erection of the mechanical equipment, check the elevation of the foundations and check the positioning of the anchorage boxes for the installation of the relevant foundation bolts. Check with the Customer’s technicians the completeness of the supply, using as a reference the packing lists and the drawings as well as the erection manuals. In case of discrepancies concerning the supply (completeness, quality, late arrival or other problems) the technological department and the Site Manager must be informed immediately and eventually the supplier should be contacted to solve the eventual problems. Check with the customer’s technicians that the torques relevant to the bolts correspond to the values indicated in the project documents (design manual). Sign the respective reports witnessing such results. Check that the assembly of the tank rings are carried out whilst respecting the tolerances, indicated in the project design. Verify with the Customer’s technicians that the alignments of the mechanical equipment are carried out with the appropriate instruments and remain within the tolerances indicated in the project documents (design/manual). Sign the respective reports witnessing such results. Check with the Customer’s technicians and with the support of the civil work supervisor that the grouting of the basement is carried out with the right technique and with the appropriate material indicated in the project document. Prepare the periodical work report every 7 days, illustrating the quality of the works, the issues encountered, the progress in % as compared to the erection program elaborated by the Customer. The report will be completed with the most significant photos for the period to which the report is referring. The said report will be given to the site manager who, after checking it, will transfer it to the Customer and to Organise with the Customer’s technicians the no-load tests for the equipment as well as for the mechanical systems. Supervise the tests, file up the relevant reports about them, point out eventual lacks and/or unacceptable results, indicating to the Customers’ technicians the necessary countermeasures to solve the encountered problem and receive the relevant acceptance certificates. Prepare the documentation necessary to establish “as built drawings”.
