Key Requirements

Qualifications : Engineering HND (or equivalent), minimum 10 years experience in oil and gas and at least 5 years in planning.
Experience in onshore and offshore petrochemical projects for at least 10 years.
Experience in working directly or indirectly for a major oil company
Experience in preparing and executing control procedures for both cost and planning
Experience in Project start-up sequence and logic planning

Job Description

Responsibilities
· To provide a full planning, work management and analysis of the contract assigned.
· To ensure plans are tracked and reported. Highlighting and offering solutions to problems.
· Be pro-active in all matters relating to Cost, Planning and Risk Analysis.
· Maintain all plans in readiness for monthly reporting.
· Ensure that all interfaces are identified, agreed and reviewed on a weekly basis.
· Ensure that all short term critical tasks are reviewed on a weekly basis.
· Assist in the development and maintaining of the department budget cost estimates.
· Maintain close liaison with other Agip KCO departments associated with Kashagan Development.Responsible for training Kazakh personnel when requested

Competences Familiar with both project and corporate contract and finance procedures
Knowledge of computer based planning tools e.g. Primavers P3e, P5
Familar with planning probabilistic and associated software
Familar with the operational aspects of offshore platforms and Drill Rigs
Ability to work without supervision
Ability to initiate and promote the discipline of cost/planning with other engineering/operations departments
Ability to prepare strategy plans to ensure that the planning tools are capable of meeting the company's business needs
Ability to assist in management reviews of existing Appraisal work activities
Ability to create/update planning estimates/control methods and procedures to reflect the latest engineering and project execution philosophies
Familiar with the requirements and structure of Integrated Planning

    - Field verification of work described in approved work scope submissions and develops detailed Primavera work scope activities, with craft type and estimated hours, coding requirements etc.

    - Ensures work plans developed by craft and operations planners are fit for purpose and are integrated into the overall project file with correct coding etc.

    - Works with project planners to ensure project scope is fully integrated into a single block plan within Primavera

    - Develops and integrates added \ found work into Primavera schedule

    - Assesses job to understand the optimal plan to achieve turnaround premises including low cost and safety performance.

    - Ensures environmental plan (waste disposal, frac tanks, vac trucks, etc) is developed.

    - Creates bill of material for assigned work, requisitions material, and ensures all material is delivered before feed out of unit.

    - Assembles work packages with detailed information for planning and execution. Identification, review, and escalation of high-risk activities.

    - Prepares logistics plan for assigned area.

    - Ensures compliance to plant orders, policies and procedures including, but not limited to Downstream One, MOC, quality, and Work List Revision processes

    - Loads schedule logic to efficiently execute scope of work and resource levels the plan.

    - Works with Master Scheduler to optimize the master schedule.

    - Completes estimate of Direct Field Labor hours, overheads, materials, and equipment for assigned area.

    - Communicates key issues and risks to the T/A Block Supervisor and Event Manager.

    - Responsible for update of the schedule during Pre/Execution/Post phases for assigned TA block

    - Management of turnaround files and records

    - Provides a critique of turnaround activities after completion of project participates in Lessons Learned and Look back process.

    - Is mindful of and continues to look for opportunities to optimize turnaround scope, and plan and execute with low cost mindset.

    - Balancing and delivering results in the 5 performance areas of safety, environmental, quality, schedule and cost.

    - Delivering results against industry (Solomon) benchmarks in turnaround cost and duration

    Skills & Experience

    - Previous primavera experience in a planning role.

    - Journeyman Pipefitter or Boilermaker

    - CSTS, D&A Test, OSSA Confined Space, OSSA Fall Protection

    - Supervisory skills in managing crafts

    - Written and verbal communication skills

    - Customer focus (operations)

    - Works effectively in a Team environment and build consensus

    - Computer skills - PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Primavera, Visio, GSAP/SAP

    - Considerable experience in executing turnarounds

    - Considerable experience in planning turnaround work

    This is a contract position.
