They are currently recruiting for the position of Site Mechanical Construction Supervisor to be based in Muscat.

Job Description

  • Plan, manage and supervise the mechanical site construction activities for gas compression project till commissioning and start up.
  • Plan and manage the mechanical shutdown activities.
  • Manage the construction interfaces with other disciplines.
  • Continue to work with the EPC Contractor team during construction till commissioning phase.
  • The engineer is required to actively supervise the EPC Construction activities, to ensure work is planned and executed as per the scope, within the allotted schedule, cost and resources.
  • Ensure work is executed within the HSE requirement.
  • Work as a team member of CGS3 Head of Construction team where all members are supporting each others.
  • Representing CGS3 in all mechanical interface activities, and chair the meetings with contractors.
  • Review the resources are adequate and highlight the need for additional or demobilization of resources when needed.
  • Ensure work is coordinated appropriately and completed as per schedule.
  • Ensure activities of Contract Management Scheme are adhering to at all times.
  • To attend meetings/discussions at PDO main office during rest days if required.
  • To support young engineers development.

Skills and Experience

  • A Bsc. or Msc. degree in Engineering.
  • Significant E&P mechanical construction experience of which some experience in Gas Compression projects.
  • Experience in gas and condensate systems.
  • Experience in both green-field and brown-field type developments.
  • Familiar with HSE construction requirements.
  • Conversant with international standards.
  • Strong team player with a positive and open attitude.
  • Ability and confidence to work with minimum supervision and lead a teams.

This is a contract position.

The rate for this position is negotiable.

    They are currently recruiting for the position of Installation Engineer., based in Oslo.

    Main responsibilities will include:
    Responsible for the installation engineering of all equipment/facilities included in the SURF and SPS packages.
    Review and comment on specifications, requisitions, designs, procedures, layout arrangements and all documentation issued by the installation Contractor
    Review, comment on and verify Contractor's engineering, covering pipe lay, umbilical lay, structures installation, flexible pipe lay in approx 300m to 400m water depths.
    Coordinate technical queries and compile responses related to installation engineering.
    Review, comment on and participate in risk assessments, HAZIDs/HAZOPs and equivalent.
    Manage and liaise with the engineering verification contractors, when and as required.
    Pro-actively liaise with Technology, Drilling, Operations, Contractor, Sub-Contractors, Vendors and certifying agency teams on all aspects of the project.
    Coordinate Contractor subsea tooling requirements and liaise with Contractor service base team to ensure equipment readiness ahead of offshore operations.
    Liaise with interface team and actively contribute to the resolution of interfaces related to Installation engineering.
    Prepare and present Technical dossiers, as necessary.
    Ensure that procedures and rules are developed and applied in accordance with the latest edition of Company General Specifications and applicable codes and standards.
    Positively represent the Company at Contractor premises, sites and on vessels during offshore construction, as and when required.
    Develop effective and constructive relationships with Contractor representatives in a manner that enables a high level of value to be obtained.
    Report to Installation Construction Coordinator and SURF Technical Manager and inform of any potential problems in a pro-active manner.
    Continually seek learning opportunities to further their technical capability and openly share knowledge with other team members.
    Attend meetings held at the company offices in Aberdeen as required.
    Safely deliver the facilities on time and within budget.
    Demonstrate commitment to SHE through Personal Safety Performance Contract.
    Ensure that the Statement of Requirements are met and completed with the quality specified and within the required timescale for what concerns installation engineering and offshore operations.
    Manage the flow of technical and interface data to ensure successful completion of the project.
    Provide Engineering advice in relation to their discipline.
    Promote partnerships with the engineering disciplines so they work effectively as a team.
    Monitor Contractors' achievements (deliverables) in accordance with contractual requirements and ensure all company standards are met.
    Ensure that best practice and technical innovations are shared and implemented through the project.
    Deputise for the Installation Construction Coordinator as appropriate.


    Education and Experience:
    Excellent knowledge of the concerned engineering disciplines:
    -Piping
    -Subsea
    -Pipeline
    -Pipeline Installation
    -Mechanical Engineering
    Degree in one of the above disciplines (chartered engineer or equivalent).
    Significant project engineering experience (planning, cost control, contracting).
    Significant engineering experience (raising / reviewing procedures, specifications and technical reports).
    Strong knowledge of Company, Group and statutory policies and procedures in relation to installation works and project management.
    Strong knowledge of oil and gas facilities design, construction and operation with offshore experience gained in the North Sea sector.
    Ability to represent the Company both internally and externally at an Engineering level.
    Previous experience in the offshore oil industry gained from working in a similar role or project environment.
    Previous experience as Company Site Rep offshore onboard subsea installation vessels.
    Knowledge and experience of pipeline, umbilical, flexible pipe installation operations and related procedures.
    Familiar with the management and control of pipeline construction related contracts.
    Considerable industrial experience with successful experience as an Installation Engineer or equivalent.
    BOSIET/FOSIET qualified to act as Company Site Rep on offshore installation vessels.
    Offshore Medical Certificate that complies with Company Standards.
    Fluent in English.
