    A specialist instrumentation company, at the fore-front of designing and manufacturing high quality systems for usage across a wide range of scientific applications is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a small Design team at their site in Oxfordshire.

    The successful candidate will be part of a small design team responsible for the creation of manufacturing information (Specifications and BOM's) to allow manufacturing of the company products.

    Design projects range from simple components to ownership of complete Systems containing an array of bought in OEM components (Pumps, Valves, Fittings etc) and designer generated parts ranging from multi port UHV chambers to electro-mechanical assy's measuring less than a few mm in size.

    Role Responsibilities
    - Production of 2D & 3D design drawings in SolidWorks v2015
    - Creation of associated Bill of Materials and entry into WinMan ERP system
    - Support for Shop Floor quality and build issues in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering.
    - Design project management of allocated orders including internal and external customer communications.
    - Contribute to the creation and maintenance of Engineering Design Standards (EDS)
    - Engineering Change Control of released drawings
    - Compliance with Engineering elements of ISO 9001 Management System

    Essential Skills for the successful Mechanical Design Engineer
