Key Requirements2 + years experience within a project purchasing environment, having sourced competitive bids.
Desk and site expediting of orders to ensure project and manufacturing schedules met.
Job DescriptionPurchasing: procuring general commodities; work shop maintenance consumables; office supplies; and general 3rd party services to the business at a competitive price and in a timely manner.
Logistics: providing a focal point for all logistics matters and movement of goods in support of projects and workshop operations. Arranging transport; interfacing with freight agents.
Expediting: responsible for supplier expediting and producing weekly reports. Prioritising rush and urgent orders, holding full responsibility for any goods until they are delivered and documentation is completed accordingly. Liaising with all relevant departments to ensure operations run smoothly.
Administration: maintain registers e.g. AVL; Project PO; Close-out Chart; etc.
Reporting to procurement manager, project managers and managing directors.

Education attainment & Accreditation
Ideally Graduate in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Computer Studies, Finance or other relevant subject or suitable equivalent experience through on the job training and development
Post Graduate Diploma or Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Computer Studies, or equivalent
Membership of CIPS
Skills & Experience
Good experience of SCM operations in the Oil & Gas Industry preferably with an Operator or Tier 1 Contractor
Specific experience of Oil & Gas Supply Chain Management in the UKCS and an understanding of the business requirements of operations, reservoir & wells and project support
Experience of leading small SCM teams and the coaching and development of team personnel
Working knowledge of Sourcing and Category Management processes
Good experience in Materials Management, Inventory Management, Warehousing Operations and Logistics
Experience of the overall P2P (Purchase to Pay) process as it applies to a UKCS Operator and the ability to author supporting documentation (procedures/work instructions etc.)
Extensive experience with ERP/EAMS systems (specifically Maximo) and other associated SCM systems and their application, support, development and reporting capabilities
