Key Requirements

2 + years experience within a project purchasing environment, having sourced competitive bids.
Desk and site expediting of orders to ensure project and manufacturing schedules met.

Job Description

Purchasing: procuring general commodities; work shop maintenance consumables; office supplies; and general 3rd party services to the business at a competitive price and in a timely manner.
Logistics: providing a focal point for all logistics matters and movement of goods in support of projects and workshop operations. Arranging transport; interfacing with freight agents.
Expediting: responsible for supplier expediting and producing weekly reports. Prioritising rush and urgent orders, holding full responsibility for any goods until they are delivered and documentation is completed accordingly. Liaising with all relevant departments to ensure operations run smoothly.
Administration: maintain registers e.g. AVL; Project PO; Close-out Chart; etc.
Reporting to procurement manager, project managers and managing directors.

    Responsibilities will include:
    Liaise with customers in order to place clear PO requirements with suppliers.
    Identify training opportunities with the line, and communicate those opportunities to the Business Optimization Lead in Procurement Services.
    Communicate with suppliers in order to clarify material and services requirements and details, including delivery dates, shipping details, part numbers and changes, etc.
    Coordinate with Company (Logistics and MM) and supplier personnel involved in scheduling /tracking / monitoring /material movements.
    Resolve invoice exceptions for PO's placed. Escalate (to Procurement Support Lead) those exceptions that require special analysis or activity to resolve.
    Identify HSSE or risk issues related to materials and services being requested and escalate those issues to the Buyer Lead.
    Gain and maintain expertise in P2P systems implemented in the regions to support P2P and Sourcing activities.
    Procurement of non-contracted materials and services for designated categories
    Generate RFQ based on scope of work provided by the line via requisition.
    Analyze and confirm supplier bids, and manage award and contracting

    Qualifications/Experience
    High school diploma or certificate required.
    Professional buying or procurement experience, including execution of P2P within a corporate ERP or FIN system, e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc.
    Adequate written and communication skills needed to effectively deliver against accountabilities.

    Desirable
    Associate's or Bachelor's degree equivalent
    Professional PSCM qualification (CPSM or MCIPS or equivalent)
    Intimate knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry and its supply base
