Responsibilities will include:

Broad appreciation of all offshore systems and logistics
Knowledge of construction and commissioning requirements and setting up of procedures
Familiarity with offshore & onshore permit and work processes.

Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for executing pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up tasks as directed by the PC&SU Leader.

Below are the job responsibilities:

1. Under the guidance and leadership of the PC&SU Leader, the Commissioning Engineer will plan, schedule and execute pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up tasks to support systems completion. The Commissioning Engineer will participate in integration of activities and systems into the Envelopes Integrated Commissioning Plan (EICP) at the direction of the PC&SU Leader.

2. Will work cooperatively with other Commissioning and construction personnel to complete systems and associated documentation in accordance with the Site Integrated Commissioning Plan (SICP) for the Sadara site.

3. Will assist the PC&SU Leader and other commissioning team members to correctly follow and complete the Startup Readiness Review and associated procedures.

Once the units/plants are Released to Operations, the job is completed.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

During the EPC Phase:

• Will be assigned at the beginning of pre-commissioning to the project’s site office to work closely with the PC&SU team.

• Will work closely with Commissioning teams within and outside his process envelope.

During Pre Commissioning:

• At the PC&SU Leader’s direction, witness and accept the pre-commissioning of all units according to project specifications.

• Prepare the unit/plant’s C&SU procedures and assist production superintendents and commissioning coordination teams to prepare integrated procedures for C&SU of the site.

• Assist the PC&SU Leader with preparation of C&SU schedules, progress tracking and reports.

At Mechanical Completion:

• Participate in execution and documentation of tasks to bring the facility to Mechanical Completion at the direction of the PC&SU Leader.

Commissioning and Start Up:

• Participate in the execution and documentation of commissioning and start-up activities as directed by the PC&SU Leader.
