Job Description

  • Writing pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures and methods statements for equipment and systems.
  • Lead the integrated commissioning team for commissioning the facilities in a safe manner, within budget, on time and in accordance with the applicable Company Procedures and Technical Specifications.
  • Implementing FPD mitigation plan at site.
  • Monitor the HSE performance of all commissioning Contractors in the area (against the Departmental, Project or Contract HSE Plan) and to ensure that all work sites under his control are operating in a safe manner.
  • Sign-off (within the limits of assigned Technical Authority) the test pack acceptance after completion of construction as part of the CCMS Tracking System.
  • Interface with Operations and project team on reviews, preparation and implementing the plan for station or part of station start-up and shutdown.
  • Review marked-up as built drawings (PEFS) of the completed construction before commissioning and handover to operations.
  • Highlight any deviations from the original design to the Head of Construction.
  • Participation on Pre - Commissioning, Commissioning, start-up Audits and close-out of Audit Actions.
  • Manage, lead and guide vendor representatives and specialist commissioning engineers.

Skills and Experience

  • Must have sour oil and gas experience.
  • Degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience on site commissioning experience.
  • Moderate experience involved in high pressure sour oil & gas facilities and pipelines.
  • Direct hands on experience in commissioning of sour oil and gas facilities that include compressors, dehydration trains and high pressure pipelines till hand-over to asset.
  • Direct handson experience in preparation, review and approval of commissing procedures, methods statement for compressors, dehydration trains, high pressure pipe lines.
  • Good problem solving, Communication, decision making and facilitation skills.
  • Good knowledge in MOCs involved in High H2S onplot and offplot piping and equipment.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the construction QCP.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the SIL studies, IPS reviews, F&G Lay-outs, Hazop, HAZID reviews, QRA HSE cases and HSE Plans.
  • Good spoken/written English and PC literate.

This is a contract position.
