  • Supporting project Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) including: reviewing procedures, arranging FCO resources, periodically attending FAT, and adjusting commissioning scope to integrate FAT successes and deficiencies.
  • Review engineering design and provide comments toward commissionability at fabrication site and North slope installation phase.
  • Assist with the development of commissioning schedules as design becomes more mature.

Execution Phase:

  • Lead the pre-commissioning/commissioning activities for his/her areas of responsibility.
  • Act as delegate to Commissioning Manager to review/accept mechanical completion packages from construction and review/offer system handover packages to operations.
  • Attend mechanical completion and system handover joint walk downs as required.
  • Responsible for preparing/reviewing work permits for commissioning scope. May be required to act as the Issuing Authority.
  • Attend daily Progress/SIMOPS meeting and provide input/comments as required.

  • Extensive experience in Commissioning and Start-Up of rotating equipment packages on an Oil and Gas Major Project. Additional experience from Operations would also be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of onshore gas and oil producing facilities and/or FPSO process plant, facilities, utilities, and architecture of surface and subsurface offshore.
  • It is expected that the successful candidate will have an engineering degree or extensive commissioning experience in the Electrical & Instrumentation disciplines..
  • Demonstrated extensive experience within the field of commissioning.
  • Previous experience with GoCompletions or equivalent completions management process and system.
  • Deep understanding of Control of Work processes during execution
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office computer software

  • Review progress against integrated plan and prepare mitigations to cover delays in Start up.

Job Description

The candidate will be reporting to the Hydro testing & Pre-commissioning Lead or to his

direct responsible. Develop technical documentation related to pipeline hydro testing &

pre-commissioning activities by either the bid or project requirements. Draw up the

operational schedule related to the hydro testing & pre-commissioning operations in

liaison with other function engineers. Perform essential calculations and verification to

define the correct selection of material, consumable and equipment necessary to

perform the hydrotesting & pre-commissioning operation. Attend meetings, both

internal and with Client, to examine and discuss the technical aspects of the

hydrotesting & pre-commissioning activity. Supervise and notify the Project Manager or

the direct responsible of any problems occurring with any other engineering areas.

Supervise the hydrotesting & pre-commissioning Subcontractor during both engineering

and execution phases of the project. Follow up the hydrotesting & pre-commissioning

activity on site.
